New launch at Feelunique: natural & vegan skincare from ZERO by Skin Academy - first impressions

I love trying out new skincare products. The excitement of testing something out and changing your skincare routine… I was kindly gifted some best sellers from ZERO by Skin Academy to try out and I absolutely cannot wait to start!

Pssst… unboxing reel here to check out their textures.

About ZERO

ZERO by Skin Academy is a 100% natural, vegan British skincare brand that their products are also affordable, ranging from £9.99 to £12.99. Their founder Holly suffered from ultra-sensitive skin and eczema in her teenage years so it became her focus to create products with naturally derived botanical ingredients to make a difference. The products are plant-based, animal-friendly and their packaging are fully recyclable too.

The products

I was kindly sent the following products for the ultimate pampering routine:

  • Hydrating Face Wash (100ml/ £9.99)

  • Invigorating Face Scrub (100ml/ £9.99)

  • Rejuvenating Eye Cream (25ml/ £9.99)

  • Restoring Hand & Nail Cream (50ml /£9.99)

  • Replenishing Facial Oil (30ml /£12.99)

  • Natural Nourishing Day Cream (50ml/ £12.99)

  • Regenerating Night Cream (50ml/ £12.99)

My initial thoughts

I love that it is beauty with no guilt. All natural products mean you can be kind to your skin. The fully recycling element is also a massive bonus.

Let’s take a look at their ingredient lists – what stood out to me are that:

  • The face wash does not contain SLS. SLS can strip the skin of its natural oils and make your skin feel dry.

  • The hand and nail cream contains sweet almond oil, shea butter and coconut oil. It is simply luxurious – and possibly my favourite product from entire the collection.

  • The facial oil contains jojoba oil which is a hero ingredient. It also has a blend of chamomile and ylang ylang, which I think also doubles as an aromatherapy product.

It’s a selling point to me that some of the products aren’t scented (i.e. hand cream) whilst some (i.e. face oil) are very lightly scented. Don’t we all hate it when face creams get too strong and make you sneeze? I also really like their textures, which felt very light to me and fast-absorbing.

I will give this collection a go and report back in a month (most likely via Instagram). But the bottom line is, if you are looking for new products to try or are running out of any skincare products, give ZERO a go, its line is affordable!

Launch at Feelunique

You can purchase ZERO products on Feelunique from 2nd June, 2021! To celebrate the launch and their commitment to supporting the planet, ZERO by Skin Academy has partnered with global environment organisation Ecologi to help combat the damaging effects of climate change. For every ZERO product sold on Feelunqiue, ZERO will plant a tree. Win-win!
