Bath & Body Works is finally in the UK

To add to the 100 posts you may have seen the past week, Bath and Body Works is now landed in the UK… well, sailed across the pond?

In case you missed it, NEXT now stocks B&BW! The news came in towards the end of August and it has been the talk of the town.

Trio of B&BW products

Bath & Body Works

B&BW is an American company that is very popular. As its name suggests, it does bath and body products mainly. From hand soap, hand sanitisers, bubble bath, body sprays, to even candles. Their scents are beautiful and are often made dupe into wax melts. You may also have seen bloggers/influencers spending lots of money for proxy shipping companies to get their goodies delivered because they simply do not ship to the UK.

B&BW in NEXT

It is actually all sold out at the moment so don’t bother searching on their site (you won’t find anything at all)! Proven to be so popular, a few items in some popular scents were already sold out when I got to the site last week… was it Monday or Tuesday when I saw that? However, from memory, they had –

  • 2 for £10 hand soaps

  • 3 for 2 on lotions, shower gel, body sprays

  • Mini perfumes

  • Regular sized EDP

  • 2 for £35 candles

I really do hope the whole out of stock in one week situation is an indicator and will push B&BW either open a store or for Next to stock more of their products!

My haul

I just bought 3 items with their 3 for 2 offer because I had never tried them and didn’t want to go crazy, yet.

*Please note that the prices below are from memory. Because it was 3 for 2, it didn’t display the original price on the confirmation email.

  • Gingham Body Lotion (roughly £12/236ml)

I saw lots of fellow wax melts junkie raving over it, so I thought I’d give it a go. The body lotion itself was quite light and fast-absorbing, I do really like the formula. However I thought the scent was too hyped up. All it is, is a floral-citrus scent. Don’t get me wrong, it is beautiful. But Would I pay £12 for it again? I am okay. Maybe in another scent that I get to smell before going in blind.

Gingham body lotion

  • Eucalyptus + Spearmint Essential Oil Mist (roughly £16/156ml)

I love aromatherapy. I have two candles from two small businesses in this scent and I loved how refreshing it was, so I gone and bought this. This spray can be used as a body spray or a linen spray and to be honest, I was quite disappointed. It smell like minty soap and definitely nothing like the candles. Not for me.

Eucalyptus and Sparemint spray

  • A Thousand Wishes Diamond Shimmer Mist (roughly £14/236ml)

It is just about one of my favourite wax melts scents. You will have seen lots of small businesses buy this fragrance oil and make them into beautiful wax melts. I don’t know where to start with this but I just want to reassure you that you NEED this.

One, the scent is a lot more stunning than in wax melts form. It is a sparkling floral that is just sweet and girly. And two, the sparkles! The pictures cannot lie. It has been infused with real diamond dust and it is intense! Every mist contains lots of tiny flakes and just make your skin shimmer and glow. It’s a body spray so it definitely doesn’t last all day. However, I sprayed this on my arm after my bath (at about 8pm) and was still just as sparkly at 11pm when I went to bed. Yas!

Final thoughts

Not going to lie, I am so gutted I couldn’t try the candles as the one scent that I really wanted, Fiji White Sands, was already out of stock so soon. Because it’s new and unless you live in a big city, what are the chances of you seeing them in person? You may just have to buy the wax melts to test the water before you go in blind - £12 a body lotion without discount can be very dear.

I completely get the hype – I’d actually compare this brand to Victoria’s Secret and I am looking to try more when next pay day comes. Here’s to hoping more stock will be enroute soon and let’s then play fastest fingers first!
