Let’s talk about my wax melts addiction, or not… I have a book shelf full of wax melts and my collection is still growing. There’s something about having lovely fragrance to make a home, a home. A couple years ago I decided to make the switch and stopped buying home fragrance from big companies and never looked back. Some of the small businesses are even better than the high street stores in terms of scent throw and the thoughts that go behind designing the products.
I was already a customer (and big fan) with Rose and Thistle Wax Patisserie but the lovely owner Tammie gifted me some of her gorgeous products I’ve been wanting to try.
Rose and Thistle Wax Patisserie
R&T use soy wax in their products. Compared to paraffin, that is traditionally used by high street retailers, the benefits of soy are that it burns cleaner and that it’s non-toxic. It has also got a lower melting point so it will last a lot longer. Those are just for starters – there are many good reasons to make the switch.
R&T products are also so pleasing to look at, with lovely shapes, colours and glitter! But that’s not the most important bit – it’s that they are highly-scented! Take the bow for example, I used the whole bow in the bathroom and I could smell it in the corridor. It also lasted for more than 3 x 4 hours tealights. I then decided to break a bow in half and also got 2 x 4 hours tealights lifespan. The scent not only will fill the room but will also last a few hours after the tealight goes off (provided you don’t open the windows widely).
